ABOUT ME

WHO AM I? 

My name is Braylon Mitchell. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee, I’ve had an obsessive passion for all things film for as long as I can remember. From the time I was in diapers, I’ve been a lifelong cinephile with a deep love for cinema. I stay up to date with nearly every new film release week by week and keep up with the most exciting television series.

Since creating my Letterboxd account in 2020, I’ve tracked and rated over 2,000 films. I’m especially passionate about awards season—both past and present—and have built a reputation as a reliable online predictor and commentator. In January 2026, I placed in the worldwide top ten for the most accurate predictions of the 2026 Oscar nominations on GoldDerby.com. 

Film journalism, commentary, and analysis has been a passion of mine for many years- my experience in writing beginning organically on Letterboxd, then by January 2026 transitioning over towards focusing on my own self-designed haven of film writing.
